Few words about the exhibition
“… Nowadays, we are busy, tired and often deprived of strength. That is why we do not notice changes that take place in the surrounding nature. It passes day by day, month after month, and so forth the following years. And then we suddenly realize the passage of time. We could forget about nature, but she does not forget about us. We notice the changes in our body, our soul, the change in our perception of the reality that surrounds us. Interpersonal relationships look similar. In the rush in which we lived, interest in another person has decreased, more and more people begin to feel loneliness. That’s why I decided to capture the inhabitants of Pomerania in my paintings. In this way I wanted to symbolically “break” the prevailing habits of isolation, distance to ourselves and our neighbors … “
“… Nature sets us the rhythm we live in. In my paintings, it is an integral part of ourselves. We can not live next to her, she is in us. If we listen to her voice, we submit to the cycle of the seasons, then we can achieve inner balance. Pomorzanki, the protagonists of my paintings allow me to stop for a moment to soak up and try to perceive each of the passing months in turn. Each of my models is walking my own way. He has other problems to overwork and is looking for his own solutions … “
